Read-A-holicZ One Year Celebration Day 1 : How it all began...+ a Giveaway :)

Okay so as many of you might not know, this February 19th will be Read-A-holicZ One Year Blogogversary! WOHOOO :D To celebrate this momentous day I am going to be hosting a giveaway every day with a nice post on different topics like this one about HOW IT ALL BEGAN, Blog Designing, Reviews, Books & Music, and a few others :) So let's get the show Started!

So today I get to answer the question:

Why did you start blogging?

Okay I'm just going to list the 3 main reasons why I started blogging, I don't want to write a HUGE Odyssey here just a little insight :P

Reason #1: Too Much reading, too little of a mind to keep my opinions to myself (+ Sister)

You see, The Summer of 2011, I read like a MAD WOMAN! I literally read 200+ books. I went to the library every week to borough at least 5 books (my max was 10) and read them in a week! I have no idea how i did it but I DID. So then what? Right. I had read so many books that I would rant about how good they were to my sister (whom was 11). She was like,

"you know you should write your reviews instead of telling them to me, I'm just gonna forget".

I was like, "Very True!"

I thought about making a blog but didn't have time to start one. Plus I had bookish friends in school who LOVED to hear me rant & rant with me :) But even they told me to write my reviews down, they said I always recommended great books to them & who know's someone out there will need a good book rec ;)

Reason #2: I kinda had to... O_O

In my senior year I took a class called "Entrepreneurship", so i had to create a fake business and make a website for the fake business. So I google "free websites" and got a a lot of places, blogger was not my first one. Since I thought it was only for blogging about books :P

After many failed website making attempts, i decided to give blogger a chance. I was SO CONFUSED! I didn't know where to start. But that class pushed me into blogging, so I HAD TO DO IT! This blog was originally called "YOUNG ADULT PUBLISHING" >_< Yeah no ingenuity there, but it was a fake business so i came up with the first thing that popped into my head :P Thus I created my first blog!

Reason #3: Like everyone else out there I found a book I NEEDED the WORLD to know about!

I kept that school blog & posted NOTHING. I never used it, then one day in February I had just finished reading Return to Paradise by Simone Elkeles and I was like "EVERYBODY SHOULD KNOW ABOUT HOW AWESOME this book was!". I LOVED it that much. I looked at my useless blog and decided to change it and so Read-A-holicZ (my sister came up with the name *shame on me*) was OFFICIALLY born!

So that's how I started this blog & my introduction into blogging :) Insightful? Maybe. Did it answer the question? I Hope So. Confusing? Probably!
