announcement for 2018

hello

it's been so long since I've actually sat and written a post on blogger. It's kinda hard sitting down to write but I'm glad to come back to this blog. In the time i've been away I've been enjoying and suffering through life. I've gotten down deep into Kpop and I've been working on my music too. I also got a job that takes up all my time and leaves me dead tired at night X_X i also moved states and my grandmother passed away. So i've been away.

changes

For this next chapter of my life, I want to do something I enjoyed and that was blogging. I am still an avid reader but now I am more into adult romance. I haven't read any YA book in 2 years, not because I don't like the stories but because I've grown and I want an ending that has a more forever ending.

As I was saying, I'm coming back but I'm not going to talk books. I'm going to be concentrating on more of my other loves like traveling, music, and family. A just ME kinda blog. I'll be reviewing hotels and places and things instead of just books.

I also finally changed my blog name and url, which I hadn't changed since I created this blog back in 2012. So this is a huge step. I'll always have a spot in my heart for Read-A-holicZ but it's been long enough to know it needed to change T_T

new name

I decided to rename the blog "SEOULLI.LIFE" since I'll be traveling and living my life from now on with my love of kpop. To be honest with you all, I was depressed for almost 4 years after high school. I didn't accept that I was depressed but I knew the feelings. I stayed up many nights just crying and hating myself but around 2 years ago I went to Guatemala and saw my grandmother alive for the last time. That really made me think about the time I had left on this earth. She told me to "be someone and make something with my life" since you never know what life will throw at you. Since that trip I've been more present and I started reading for enjoyment again. I started my poetry. I immersed myself in music and started to live. Now I want to take on the world and explore and reach my dreams.

I've got to fix things up on the blog but hopefully I can get it done soon and get back to posting regularly. First few things will be Kpop related, just wanted to warn you all in advance since I know a lot of you followed me for my book reviews. I hope you will still stay with me, I honestly love you all and want to explore the world with you all too!

i'm happy to be coming back

A teen escapes to a boarding school abroad and falls for a Korean pop star in this fun and fresh romantic novel in the vein of Anna and the French Kiss.

Grace Wilde is running—from the multi-million dollar mansion her record producer father bought, the famous older brother who’s topped the country music charts five years in a row, and the mother who blames her for her brother’s breakdown. Grace escapes to the farthest place from home she can think of, a boarding school in Korea, hoping for a fresh start.

She wants nothing to do with music, but when her roommate Sophie’s twin brother Jason turns out to be the newest Korean pop music superstar, Grace is thrust back into the world of fame. She can't stand Jason, whose celebrity status is only outmatched by his oversized ego, but they form a tenuous alliance for the sake of her friendship with Sophie. As the months go by and Grace adjusts to her new life in Korea, even she can't deny the sparks flying between her and the KPOP idol.

Soon, Grace realizes that her feelings for Jason threaten her promise to herself that she'll leave behind the music industry that destroyed her family. But can Grace ignore her attraction to Jason and her undeniable pull of the music she was born to write? Sweet, fun, and romantic, this young adult novel explores what it means to experience first love and discover who you really are in the process.

You guys,I don't think there is a way to tell you how excited I am for the release of this book. It's like everything that is great in life is being put into one book (I got it bad ya'll!).How AWESOME does this book sound? For one, the setting is in Korea, which is absolutely amazing and a place that I've never read in a contemporary before (YAY for diversity!). Plus, there is a Korean pop star as a possible love interest. Nuff said. And now, I must wait 4 months to read this gem. Hopefully, Some of you want to read this too and we can all suffer the wait together.

I'll be back when blogger lets me....

Hey everyone! Hope your all having a good day :) If you haven't noticed I changed my blog a bit. I got a new design, changed the layout, got a new button, oh and yeah *almost forgot* a NEW NAME!

I wasn't going to change it but since blogger *the meanie* won't let me edit my html, i can't do all the nice and pretty things i want >.< I really wasn't going to change my name since I've used READ-A-HOLICZ for 2 years now and the name is special to me but...I'm not the only one with a book blog called that *i've found 2 others* SO in light of me starting a new youtube channel and korean themed blog, I decided to get a more unique name.

What's the new name? NARA BOOK. Which is a play on words of my name which is Dianara. It's actually my middle name and I like it now because I can use it as my korean name 쏜 나라 [Sson Nara] *pretty right* Since blogger won't let me edit my html here i've also been playing around with my Tumblr html *since it was boring* and think i did okay for my first go at it. *See below, and if u like kpop click thy picture to see where I get my gifs*

I thought I would be able to blog but...my job, my life, and my family keep me too busy, so i won't start to blog until april *just a week away* I'll also be coming back with some interesting and gif-y posts XD UNTIL THEN BYE!!

Life. Death. And...Love?

Emma would give anything to talk to her mother one last time. Tell her about her slipping grades, her anger with her stepfather, and the boy with the bad reputation who might be the only one Emma can be herself with.

But Emma can't tell her mother anything. Because her mother is brain-dead and being kept alive by machines for the baby growing inside her.

Meeting bad-boy Caleb Harrison wouldn't have interested Old Emma. But New Emma-the one who exists in a fog of grief, who no longer cares about school, whose only social outlet is her best friend Olivia-New Emma is startled by the connection she and Caleb forge.

Feeling her own heart beat again wakes Emma from the grief that has grayed her existence. Is there hope for life after death-and maybe, for love?

OH LORD THE FEELS!!!! *calming down to actually review* I could not put this down. I didn't know how this was going to play out but I was NOT expecting to break out in tears in parts and FEEL SO dang much! I LOVED THIS BOOK x Infinity XD Although this was not the cover I had thought would be picked in the end. I still like it and the tagline is really clever :)

The story was heartbreaking, raw, emotional, and unique! It reminded me of why I LOVED Elizabeth Scott's books so much in the past. She can truly weave real stories that you will hate to love because they make you feel so much and make you fall in love. The story dealt with a really hard issue of whether a pregnant woman whose brain-dead should be kept alive for the baby.

I loved reading about Emma, our main MC, and how she coped with the semi-loss of her mother and the struggle she had within. At first I didn't really understand what she was going through but I could connect to her loss. I would be a little messed up if I had to see my "dead" mother still alive. On top of that she had to come to terms with the hate she had towards her unborn half-brother & stepfather. The whole thing really kinda twisted her. She remembers the happy times when her mom was pregnant but she kinda tends to only see the bad parts. I loved seeing her slowly change her perspective on the whole situation.

With this sad story I wasn't sure how the romance would play out, if there would be insta-love or something. Thankfully the romance was so sweet, captivating, and pulled at my heart too! Even though Emma was going through something tough Caleb was also going through a hell all his own. Caleb is labeled the "bad-boy" and in part that was true but he was so much more too. He was damaged and broken, when you read his story with his sister you'll understand him SO MUCH MORE. Caleb & Emma both helped each other mend the broken pieces they had and become whole. They had to learn to deal with there pasts; before they can open up and let love in. There relationship was simply gorgeous, touching, and done really well :D

THE ENDING!! Gah why?! I understood it had to happen but gah, I was crying like a baby and yet i was still happy with it. It was utterly beautiful and heartwrenching. I LOVED this book so much and to me it was one of perfect emotional books. It had the hard, the intense, but it also gave you the warmth and the redemption. For me it was a 100% 5 stars!

WHAT DID YOU THINK? HAVE YOU HEARD OF HEARTBEAT? ALREADY READ IT?

IM BACCCCCKKK AND CHANGING THINGS UP }:^)

Now didn't you guys miss me and my fabulous k-pop gifs? I know I've missed you all. It's been...*checking calendar* almost 2 MONTHS since i posted anything relevant on here. Even though I tried to stop blogging *yeah I must have suffered some minor episode of madness* I couldn't leave the blogging world behind. I JUST LOVE BOOKS & BLOGGING TOO MUCH!

During this time I did a lot of thinking *LOTS* and I realized that I need to make things simpler on the blog. I was doing all these fancy things before in posts and I thought it was making my blog more professional. REALITY: it really was just making my life more complicated than it had to be. Plus those CODES in my posts *pulling my hair* were killer!
